SHERMAN HEMSLEY "MOVIN' ON UP" TO BCB THIS WEDNESDAY

Sherman Hemsley continues the Curve’s Retro Celebrity Series when he visits Blair County Ballpark on Wednesday, June 28. Hemsley played the famous character of “George Jefferson” on five different TV shows and will be at the ballpark during the Curve’s game against the Bowie Baysox at 7:05 p.m.

The appearance is the highlight of a host of great promotions during the team’s seven-game homestand including four fireworks shows and another great All-Star themed giveaway.

The Curve opens a three-game set against the Bowie Baysox on Tuesday, June 27. The game begins at 7:05 and will have Karaoke on the Party Deck when gates open at 6:00. A spectacular fireworks show follows the game and the Curve will celebrate Hometowns of Cresson Night.

The series continues with the Baysox on Wednesday, with Hemsley on hand to through out the ceremonial first pitch and meet with fans. The game begins at 7:05 p.m. with ballpark gates opening at 6:00. Wednesday is also Blair Candy Bingo Night, giving fans the chance to win fabulous prizes during the game.

Curve Happy Hour on the Party Deck presented by the Hotel Belmar. Following the game, several Curve players will be at the Belmar to help raise money for the Miracle League of Blair County. The first 2,000 fans in attendance at the game will receive a free All-Star Logo Desk Display.

The Curve welcome in the rival Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) for a four-game series beginning on Friday at 7:05 p.m. Traveling mascot, Reggy, brings his unique style of entertainment to the ballpark. It's also Hometowns of Jefferson County Night.

Saturday’s game between the Curve and Aeros is the first of three consecutive games featuring post-game fireworks. The game begins at 7:05 and the fireworks show is presented by PA Lottery.

The Curve and Aeros play the third game of their series on Sunday at 7:05 with post-game fireworks presented by S&T Bank. It’s also Softball Night at the ballpark.

The seven-game homestand wraps up when the Curve and Aeros play their series’ finale at 7:05. A fireworks show featuring patriotic music follows the game.
